Parliamentary reporting plays a vital role in keeping citizens informed about legislation, government policies, and the day-to-day work of the National Assembly. By providing accurate and impartial information, it promotes transparency, accountability, and public confidence in democratic processes.

I especially acknowledge the Parliamentary Reporters’ Association of Pakistan (PRA) for their dedicated efforts in upholding high standards of professionalism and impartiality. The PRA has consistently helped bridge the gap between Parliament and the media, ensuring that the public receives timely and reliable information.

As Speaker, I am committed to ensuring that the parliamentary press enjoys full access, support, and a safe environment to perform their important role. Freedom of the press is essential for a thriving democracy, and the National Assembly will continue to safeguard it.

Together, Parliament and the media can strengthen transparency, awareness, and democratic values for all citizens of Pakistan.
